Position Overview:

Blue Orange is seeking a Fullstack Engineer to join our team to help our clients build robust data-driven web applications. Blue Orange builds enterprise data platforms and systems for a variety of clients. This team member will be working with our data and application teams to build applications that make the output of our data systems connect with end users and become interactive. The candidate will work closely with and collaborate with our Blue Orange team members as well as with our clients, who will drive the requirements.

This is a full-time fully remote position for Latin American-based applicants within +/- 2 hours of Eastern Standard Time Zones (NYC).

Resume must demonstrate professional English ability.

Responsibilities:

• Work with clients and data teams to help design, build and deploy web applications written in React, Next.js, and Nest.js in AWS.
• Use sound engineering practices to test your applications (Unit tests, integration tests, etc).
• Implement and maintain best practices for application development within the team. Constantly be vigilant for ways to improve the systems you are building.
• Own the deployment processes for the software you build.
• Engage in Code Reviews and Scrum meetings, and follow SDLC best practices.
• Develop reusable, automated processes, and tooling surrounding the applications you are building.

Secondary responsibilities:

• Knowledge of best practices related to security, performance, and disaster recovery.
• Enjoys collaborating with other engineers on architecture and sharing designs with the team.
• Interacts with others using sound judgment, good humor, and consistent fairness in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Frontend experience
  • React (preferred) or another similar front-end framework
  • Javascript is a must
  • Typescript experience is a plus
  • HTML/CSS
• Backend experience
  • Node.js preferred
  • Backend framework(s) experience
    • Nest.js is a plus
    • Other Examples: Express.js, Spring Boot, Django, Laravel, ASP.NET, Fiber, etc
• General Software Engineering Experience (docker, Linux, etc)
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience building and supporting enterprise full-stack applications.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working in cloud environments, AWS is preferred
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• React, Next.js, Node.js, Nest.js, Typescript

Salary: $4500 - $6000 USD (per month)
